Dr. Zakaria obtained his PhD under my guidance in 2022. Recently he has successfully completed his research as a Visiting Researcher in my lab and joined as a JSPS postdoc fellow from March 9, 2025. This JSPS fellowship is a standard fellowship (24 months), which is a very competitive and prestigious fellowship where the acceptance rate is only around 11%. Zakaria has been studying neuronal mechanisms of thermoregulation.
