Upcoming SALC Lecture "Sachiko: A Nagasaki Bomb Survivor’s Story"

As years pass, the tragic events of the Second World War may slowly fade from people’s memories. Caren Stelson, an award winning writer from the United States, preserved an account of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki, as seen through the eyes of survivor Sachiko Yasui, who was only six years old at the time.

Ms. Stelson has kindly agreed to give a lecture about her book to Kyushu University students and staff on October 25, 2017. Participation is free. Please consult the poster below for more information.
