Profile
TAKAHASHI Rio. She is currently a doctoral student in the Graduate School of Systems Life Sciences at Kyusyu University. She conducts research at cognitive neuroscience and Psychophysiology, with a keen interest in how the five senses—especially smell—influence human emotions. To explore these connections, she utilizes EEG measurements, surveys, and cognitive tasks. To date, she has conducted psychophysiological experiments using seasonal plant odors and collaborated on research projects with several companies. Additionally, she possesses a diverse technical skillset, having performed behavioral and histological studies on photokinesis of lampreys during her undergraduate years. In the future, she aims to enrich people’s lives through the power of scent and contribute to the enhancement of well-being across society as a whole.
